The story behind the name
A name I have to live up to
Rehman Electrics is named after my late grandfather — a kind, generous man who spent his life helping others. When he wasn't working at the mill, he'd walk around our local community fixing whatever needed fixing in his neighbours' homes, never asking for anything in return.
People knew they could call on him, and he always turned up with a smile and a helping hand. That legacy is why this business carries his name.

What's the latest emergency call-out you've had?
Around 4am, actually. A customer got home from a night shift to find all her power had gone off. I got there within the hour, traced it to a failed RCD on the consumer unit, and had her back up and running before she went to bed. That's the sort of thing I'm on the end of the phone for.
Are you actually insured and qualified, or is that just something people say?
Yes — fully qualified, insured, and I test and certify every job. If a piece of work needs notifying under Part P, it gets notified. I'll happily show you paperwork before I start if that puts your mind at ease.
How much is it going to cost me before I even ring you?
Honestly, it depends on the job — but quotes are always free and itemised, so you can see exactly what you're paying for. No call-out fee for a proper quote, and the price I give you is the price you pay.
Do you do small jobs, or is it only big rewires?
Small jobs are welcome. Extra socket, a dodgy light switch, a smoke alarm that won't stop chirping at 3am — none of it's too small. A lot of my work is exactly that kind of thing.
How far will you actually travel?
I'm based in West Yorkshire, so anywhere round Leeds, Bradford, Wakefield, Huddersfield and Halifax is my usual patch. But if you're anywhere in England and it's the right job, I'll travel — just give me a ring and we'll work it out.
Will you make a mess of my house?
No. We treat every job how we would want our own houses to be treated and clean up after ourselves. Cleaning is part of our job as well, not just the electrics.
